Family-founded. Future-focused.

From travelling chefs to a trusted food partner.

The story of Danora began almost 40 years ago in 1988 with two food lovers, Dora and Dan Azouri. Their genuine passion for food and travel laid the foundation of our company, which still shapes how we work today.

Over the years, Danora has grown into a trusted food supplier to foodservice, convenience and retail, bringing high-quality products from around the world into formats that work in local markets.

OUR VALUES

QUALITY

Quality is our standard, and great taste is our north star. We choose products with flavour people love, and we deliver the same results every time. That means consistency, reliability, and performance in real operations.

CURIOSITY

We stay curious about what is out there. We travel, taste, and keep learning to spot flavours and products that are genuinely worth bringing home. Curiosity keeps our range relevant and helps us turn global ideas into local winners.

PASSION

We are passionate about the details that make the products perfect. From product selection to how something holds, bakes, serves, and sells, we test what works in real operations.

PARTNERSHIP

We work like a partner, not just a supplier. We communicate clearly, follow up properly, and think long-term. The best ranges are built through steady collaboration and trust.

Our story

Where it all started

Danora began with a love of food and travel. Dora and Dan spent time in cafés, bakeries, delis and small kitchens around the world, tasting, learning and paying attention to what made food genuinely good.

In 1988, they brought that curiosity home and opened their first café in Oslo, later expanding to several locations. Running their own retail operations taught them something important: people come back for great taste, and they trust quality that stays consistent. Those years also gave Danora a hands-on testing ground. If something did not hold up in practice, it was refined until it did.

How we have grown

As Danora grew, so did our role. We moved from running our own retail shops to supporting other operators and retailers, building ranges that had to work across different teams, formats and channels.

Working closely with the convenience channel raised the bar. It pushed us to think harder about speed, consistency and products that are easy to handle, even when the pace is high.

Along the way, Danora has taken risks, reached important milestones and kept moving forward, guided by curiosity, passion and quality.

Where we are going

Today, we support customers across convenience, retail and foodservice. We turn global inspiration into ranges shaped around great taste, dependable quality and long-term partnerships. Danora remains family-owned, with the second generation now leading the company forward.

We will continue to stay curious, think long term and focus on what works in practice for our customers.

  • Global discovery, careful selection.

  • Adapted for local expectations and operations.

  • Consistent quality our partners can rely on.

  • Follow-up that improves performance over time.

We focus on what helps our customers deliver consistently: Clear formats, dependable quality, and products that hold up when the pace is high. We stay flexible in how we work, adapting ranges to local expectations, different channels, and the realities of each operation.

Big enough to deliver. Small enough to care.

If you’re looking for new flavours, smarter formats, or a supplier who understands how food works, we’d love to hear from you.
